Not an all time low, but it's within a few dollars. This is a great light to add to a collection of Dewalt 20v tools. It lights a broad area which is more useful than the typical spot light when working in dim areas.

It's time to clearance this model and refresh with better LEDs. Lowe's Kobalt Model # KML 124B-03 which is below $40 right now is 700/300 lumens, while this DeWalt is only 500/250 lumens. Pricing is close to Kobalt so if you need it buy it!

Serious Q: is this much better than one of those led lanterns you might use for camping? I ask because I have a bunch if good quality lanterns(various sizes and strengths) and also have bunch of dewalt batteries so trying to understand if there's a good reason to pick one up (I'd like to). I'm a "Power DIYer"(woodworking, electrical, plumbing, for self and friends). Thanks for any feedback!

Wondering the same. I typically just use a lantern to light a dim area.

I didn't even see that one. I just picked up the 6 tool kobalt kit for 112 and I am very impressed with all those tools. Probably going to grab this light too now since it's significantly brighter. Thanks!

Far and away the best tool DeWalt makes. Use this for virtually every job (literally) and can light up a room sufficiently (e.g. if you've got power turned off for electrical work). Best $40 you can spend if you're a DIY person or a professional.

On the plus side it should last for just about forever on most of their batteries.

Some reviews say it lasted 8.5 hrs on a 4 Ah battery when set at the highest brightness (500). so the biggest battery they sell (6Ah) along with the lower brightness(250) should last over 25 hours.

Still kind of pricey for me.

So I'll jump off the wagon and say this isn't my favorite light. It's great, and runs forever, but the metal loop insead of a hook means I need to make my own mounting method if its gonna hang, and it topples over the minute it's anything but perfectly level. That being said - it's been dropped a million times so far and still lights up every time
