No shlt I'm afraid, and you should be too. Vaccine probably won't be ready for another year at the least, and this thing is spreading like wildfire because too many people aren't taking it seriously enough to stay tf home and learn to cook for once in their lives. That being said, my apologies to any health care workers if my initial comment was overtly rude, but I think it's safe to say that health care employees at the front lines caring for the infected are far more at risk for contracting the virus than everyone else; especially since many are now lacking protective supplies; thus my lack of a desire to be visiting a location at which they might be attracted to, due to this promotion.

I wonder if they, and you, go to the grocery store.

I bought enough groceries to last 5-6 weeks a week ago...don't need to step foot in another store for at least a month (and before you call that "hoarding", we do that usually every month anyways; so only bought around 25% more than usual) .....and not sure if you've noticed, but grocery stores are a lot bigger than gas stations that typically have one coffee dispenser...and one cash register etc.
We have a child in my household with a blood disorder that makes his immune system weak. His body can hardly handle the flu and he has to be hospitalized for any fever whatsoever, even before CV, so needless to say I'm taking zero chances with his life.
Be grateful you get to stay safe in your little safe bubble at home, while people dont have a choice and are working the frontlines. I posted this because I am one of those people who are risking mine and my families life by going to work to take care of people, and I am grateful that companies actually are thinking of us. I posted this because I thought it was very nice of them, and I get your concern about risk, but you dont have to be rude.
I understand people are scared. But please know that while me and the others are risking our lives, on top of that fear we have of getting sick..people are attacking healthcare workers, refusing to let us buy food, and being a jerk like you are. So, I'm sorry I offended you by being excited about a freaking cup of coffee as appreciation to this crap time to be working in a hospital.

As a healthcare worker on the frontline of this, why are we attacking a guy who says he wants to avoid us? Avoid us, we'll avoid you too! But, if I had one near me I would take advantage on my way TO WORK never my way home. I take my clothes off in the garage and shower before touching anyone or anything.
Stay safe, avoid me, happy that's an option for some!!

I am too. I take precautions washing up before I leave, when I change out of everything and wash up again. I get they're scared, it's real and I understand this. I'm just frustrated by seeing how crappy people are treating the ones who are taking care of sick people. I've read too many instances lately of nurses/dr's getting physically and verbally attacked, and getting denied service for food because of their jobs and that is sad.

I've definitely had people avoid me! We were told to act like we're + and don't want to spread it. So I avoid people too.
I'm happy we get a few free perks! I may get some free Starbucks on my way home in the am!
Stay safe and protect your ears. I already have blisters!

Yes, so true. I do the same thing. I am a hospital clinical pharmacist and the republican people in charge of Florida are going to "open up" the state again. They opened the beaches and thousands of people flocked and they are packed in like sardines in a tin can. Just because they can't smell it, taste it, or see it, they think this virus is a joke. It is NOT. Millions will be carriers and infect others and the fatality rate will skyrocket. Where I work, we have 15 active Covid patients. In the last month, we've had 19 die. Please people take this seriously. Think about your family and friends if not yourselves.
