We're launching a new limited time phone plan:
The new $15 plan comes with 2GB of data, unlimited talk and text, and will be available for a limited time. The plan is available to new and existing customers with no activation fee.1
We will begin adding data to capped and unlimited phone plans for a limited time:2
Automatically adding 10GB of data to capped plans for new and existing customers. That means if you're on the $30/2GB plan or the $40/5GB plan, you'll get an additional 10GB of data for mobile hotspot or smartphone use for two bill cycles. After two bill cycles, you will no longer receive the additional data.
Automatically adding 10GB of data to unlimited plans for new and existing customers. That means if you're on the $55 unlimited plan without mobile hotspot, you will receive 10GB of data for hotspot use. If you're on the $60 unlimited plan with 15GB of mobile hotspot, you'll get an additional 10GB of data for mobile hotspot use. Both plans will receive the additional data for two bill cycles. Guide to Maximizing Cricket $15 plan
STEP 1
If you have a non-AT&T number, you can port into Cricket and get a free Andriod phone which comes with a cricket sim (LG Escape Plus or Nokia 3.1). You will be asked to prepay for the $55/ $60 plan (basically a 4 month prepay since Cricket prorates credits if you downgrade to the new $15 plan after activation)
If you have an AT&T number, you can purchase a non-AT&T number from eBay for port in (and port your AT&T number to a T-mobile prepaid and then re-port to Cricket)
STEP 2
After purchasing your Cricket free phone or SIM activation kit, secure a $25 referral coupon from the cricket referral program (available on eBay or Reddit for free). Once a referral code is generated, it expires within 30 days.
$25 referral is only for new accounts (if you are an existing Cricket customer, if you activate your new service on a new account it will be eligible for the $25 referral credit)
STEP 3
IMMEDIATELY after activating your Cricket service, enter your unique referral code emailed to you in the "Everything's Better with Friends" section of the myCricket app or Cricket online website. After inputting referral code, you will see a 60 day countdown tracker in the "Everything's Better with Friends" on when your $25 credit is credited.
Change your plan to the new $15 plan. You will get the full $45 prorated credit if you downgrade within the first day of activation which will last for 4 months on the new plan. The $25 referral credit will give you one more free month on the $15 plan
STEP 4
After 6 months on cricket you can request your free cricket phone to be unlocked

- Cricket version is all inclusive of taxes and fees
- No need to buy a SIM card if you are taking advantage of the free phone deal
- Free phone (though sadly no more Moto G7)

You know if we got in on the iPhone deal going, could we switch the $60 unlimited plan they force you to get to this $15 plan?
There should be no extra charge right? They'll just save the remaining credit? Never done it before. Ill be getting phone delivered tomorrow or Saturday.
