Gamestop is treating their employees horrible during COVID-19. I'm taking my money somewhere else.
$20 or bust!
If you get this look at downloading Project Lunar to modify what games are on there. Hook up console to PC and it's a simple drag and drop program to customize the Rom selection.
It is 100% reversible also, just a soft mod meaning you can go back to stock whenever you'd like.

Just got this at BBY for $40 — compared to the NES and SNES classic at more than twice the price (after release) this is quite a bit better executed.
The games are a YMMV of course. I'm enjoying Streets of Rage, Landstalker, Shinobi, Ecco, and Kid Chameleon. And Sonic, of course.
But I remember the main reason I played Genesis over SNES in the old days was better sports games. This has none, sadly. I was hoping to make Wayne Gretzky's head bleed!

Does GameStop ever sell it at that price? I've been sitting on a gift card
Nope, just wishful thinking. Lowest I recall is $35 but at $40 this is still a good price. For a turnkey fully ready system that is ready to play out of the box that has emulation from the M2 folks this is a good setup. Only complaint is the 3 button controller but you can purchase aftermarket ones if you really need 6 button ones.
