Troll comments are getting better. Good job, you're in the lead.
What's that old adage? "You are what you call everyone on the internet"..

You're the one in here wasting your time trolling people's comments. Go find a hobby or something man. Not even sure how my comment is considered a "troll"

8000 people die on average every day in the usa. so far, the baloney virus has killed less than 3k, most of which were elderly with underlying conditions anyway. in fact in europe which is much harder hit, there's no detectable change to mortality rates since covid began. the cdc estimates the flu kille 22k-55k this season.

as time wears on people will be less and less scared of this thing. except on slickdeals i'm sure.
8000 deaths x 365 days = 2,290,000 death per year in the U.S.A by unknown reasons, is my math correct according to your comment?

Your stomach acid inactivates the virus on contact. As long as you wash your hands before removing the food from the packaging and use your own plates/utensils, you're fine.

So you aren't doing anything to keep them afloat either. In fact, it's worse because you are in a position to ACTUALLY help them.

Telling people not to buy food from restaurants because it 'does nothing' to help them is poor form.
I don't disagree with you at all, for sure not telling people to "not buy", was just more of a reality check.

Part of working for the man though, we tried for the first week to give smaller loans out however within a week over 50% of those came back saying they cant pay already.

Perhaps but from what I understand some restaurants run close to break even anyways. The thing is you are keeping your employees paid and you are still paying rent and in allot of cases you still have food stocked. Might as well make the best of it.
Depending of course which restaurant but normal over profits are around 10-15% of their revenues. A lot of them are asking for rent forgiveness currently which sucks because 90%+ dont own the actually building they are operating out of and if the property manager says no they are screwed...Part of the reason we had to stop lending to them.

Texas Roadhouse is treating their employees fairly too during this thing.

I'm glad to hear that. I really enjoy their food overall. Probably the only reason we haven't gone during this shelter period is that I enjoy the catfish, and I doubt I've have super crispy catfish by the time I got home with it.

For those that have the cheeseburger family pack deal, note that these aren't the 1/2 burgers, from what I can tell, instead its 1/4 burgers in the FP. Might explain why it's not available in some locations - pretty certain my restaurant only make the big 1/2lb burgers ($8-9 each).

I'm not worried about the cooks but am about walking into a location. Wish they had curbside or a drive thru.

Not the same as eating out at least for me, can't wait for this to end so we can eat out again. Tried it yesterday not from here but no where near the same.
Might be a long time. China just tried to reopen 600 movie theaters on Friday 3/27 (out of 70,000 theaters) and had to immediately shut them down again due to fears of a second wave of the virus. And they've been battling this since November/December.

This virus is nasty and the world is gonna change.

We ordered this deal on Saturday. Sat in the car with about 10 other cars in the lot and they came out. There was nobody allowed in.

Ditto on the minimum $40 option (tenders, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, $45 for beef tips). I had gotten the email advertising these family packs other day, and was so excited to see this on the front page since I thought they had added this new deal, but alas.

Glad to read the CEO is donating his salary.

Everything is always more expensive in California.
