Pretty close to a good deal for a budget gaming laptop. The 1050 is still a lot better than integrated, but you should really spend an extra 50 bucks or whatever to get something with more than 2GB of GPU memory.

Sound and battery no good
it was considered a killer deal at the time
for $466 it's still decent if
-everything's in working order
-you want to play mainly competitive games which will take advantage of the 144hz display.

it's a tongfang rebrand
pretty established oem that sources laptops for manufacturers like eluktronics, maingear, and the current walmart house brand EVOO / Motile.

a thing to note is that some people have reported issues with these laptops after a year, some of which include:
-dead screen
-gpu no longer being recognized

but given that it's been over a year, maybe these have been filtered out from the defects?

I currently own the 17 inch one, which I got about a year and a half ago($1000 at the time brand new) and it still works like a charm, only complaint that I have is that the actual screen, looks flimsy but not a deal breaker

Is the other one for $150 more worth the difference (assuming it comes back in stock)?

I have this exact model. Bought it new in 2018. Still works fine, although I don't use it every day either. Screen is awesome, but the included SSD was a slog so I replaced it.
