Found this while restocking food... Lowest price before was $699. This is similar to the other model but the screen is an actual HD LED screen instead of the LCD that doesn't play movies/iFit program. Includes 1 year membership to iFit workouts.

But anything with these big ass screens SUCKS. They're usually locked so you can't play your own content and can only be used for lame monthly subscription programs.
Not in stock near where I am in the SF Bay Area, but none of these Costco closeout deals ever are.

I am also burned by ICON, why manufactures under a lot of brands, such as ProForm, NordicTrack, HealthRider, Reebok, ... . I bought a Proform ZE9 elliptical 9 years ago at MSRP over $1K but only used it occasionally. First the control panel stopped working after 4 years, and was replaced right before the extended warranty expired. I started using it actively since 1 year ago, then a key axle on the wheel broken. When I tried to get the parts, ICON told me they have "discontinued" that part. so now I have to actually pay to throw out a big elliptical just because ICON stopped supplying a key part.
I have also owned a cheaper BodyFit elliptical before this ProForm and it broke just after 2 years usage.
The bottom line is, if you want to buy a $1K range elliptical and plan to use it actively (say 40 min a day and 4 days a week), be prepared to deal with expensive repair bill after 2 years, so I definitely recommend buying an extended warranty for as long as you can. After 5 years be prepared to trash it on any day. Basically to spend $200 per year on owning an elliptical at home.
I talked to my technician in my gym too. He said lowest end commerical elliptical machine gyms own will cost about $5K.
