Which library do you belong to ? I can access hoopla and overdrive which have decent catalogs but audible has additional titles. I always check to see if the book can be had for free before using a credit

For Texas residents, you can get a free library card online (no in-person needed) from the Hurst library system. You'll get a temporary ID that you can use to login to Hoopla, which has thousands of ebooks and audiobooks on-demand with no wait time! The only catch is you can only checkout 3 items per month.

You have a serious misunderstanding on how on-line access works at libraries.
You log in on your computer or phone and type in your account number and password or pin at home, in your vehicle or any place you choose. There is no need to go to a PUBLIC library.

Why (on earth) would you go to a library when you can access audible material on-line?

Besides, our libraries are temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
