Here are the pros:
Auto Mode - It has an air quality sensor that increases or decreases the speed of the fan automatically depending on the air. It also has a bright light bar that indicates the quality of air. Red means air is not so great and fan runs on 3. Yellow is medium quality so fan runs on 2. Blue means air is perfect and fan runs on 1.
Very Quiet - Even at the highest speed fan is hardly noticeable
Night Mode - It has a light sensor that puts it in sleep mode when its very dark. It becomes super quiet. It is still running on a very low speed to continue to clean the air. It also turns off the bright air quality color light automatically. As soon as it is morning or when we turn on the room light, it wakes up and runs according to the quality of the air.
Quick Start - It literally took two mins to get the thing going. I just removed it from the box, opened the easy cover, placed the three filters, and turned it ON.
Pre-Filter (Dust Filter) - The pre-filter is an added feature. It collects loose dust which is very easy to vacuum off. Smaller particles collect on the 2nd Carbon filter which I also vacuum. This leaves the HEPA filter to do it's job without dust clogging the entire thing. My older Thera Pure air purifier did not have this type of pre-filter and it was a pain to vacuum the HEPA filter every month. I do notice a lot of dust collecting on the pre-filter every ten days or so in the living room and about two weeks in the bed room.
WiFi ON/OFF Button - One of the reasons I didn't operate this air purifier for many months is that I was dreading with a possibility of an always ON WiFi. I was delighted to see that this model comes with an ON/OFF WiFi button with the WiFi off by default. I am a little OCD about constant exposure to WiFi radiation so this is a welcome feature. There are some devices that do not have a WiFi off button such as newer Roku devices and their remote controls.
Made in Korea (Not China) - Quality is evident when you turn this thing on. The buttons are soft with tiny LED lights and a soft sound every time we press a button.
Energy Star - Since this thing runs 24 hours, it is nice to know that it is Energy Star certified. This means it will use the least amount of electricity to operate and wont put a load on the wallet in the long run.
Cons:
None. I am very happy with this air purifier. I wish I bought more of these when it was really cheap last year. I am keeping an eye on Costco's website when they restock replacement filters. Hopefully after current Chinavirus crisis is under control they should be available again.
Plus mine has never needed to go to high, so it has been quiet.
