With 200,000+ copies in print, this New York Times bestseller shares the story and the recipes behind the chef and cuisine that changed the modern-day culinary landscape.

Never before has there been a phenomenon like Momofuku. A once-unrecognizable word, it's now synonymous with the award-winning restaurants of the same name in New York City (Momofuku Noodle Bar, Ssäm Bar, Ko, Má Pêche, Fuku, Nishi, and Milk Bar), Toronto, and Sydney. Chef David Chang single-handedly revolutionized cooking in America and beyond with his use of bold Asian flavors and impeccable ingredients, his mastery of the humble ramen noodle, and his thorough devotion to pork.

Chang relays with candor the tale of his unwitting rise to superstardom, which, though wracked with mishaps, happened at light speed. And the dishes shared in this book are coveted by all who've dined—or yearned to—at any Momofuku location (yes, the pork buns are here). This is a must-read for anyone who truly enjoys food.

If you don't know who David Chang is, I suggest watching season 1 of The Mind of a Chef on Netflix. It's narrated by Anthony Bourdain and follows David around Japan, New York and LA on his culinary journeys to Michelin star chef status. I found it pretty entertaining. "Season 1 examines the food-centric world of Chef David Chang. From ramen to rotting bananas, Copenhagen to Kansas City, and pork buns to golf clubs, Season 1 combines travel, cooking, history, science, and humor into an unforgettable journey. " -per PBS

I was the first person to write a Yelp review on his Fuku fried chicken sandwich joint in Santa Monica. It was pretty good.

I love reading cookbooks, probably won't end up making any of the dishes though....

He also has a few series on Netflix. Ugly Delicious has 2 seasons and its a fun watch.

I was supposed to go to Japan at the end of this month and was going to try out Taishoken. My flight was canceled and my girlfriend is taking not being able to go to Taishoken pretty hard. We've never even been there before, but she loves Tsukemen.
