Stay away from Instant Gaming. They asked me to send a picture of my ID or passport after purchase to confirm. No other reseller does this. That's too invasive.

I asked for a refund and it took 5 days to process. Frown

I discovered this too late when I ordered this a while back- leave it to EA to not include that so they can wring some additional cash out of you.

That's untrue. No white market reseller does this, at least not anymore. It's sadly a common practice among grey market resellers due to people using stolen credit cards or issuing chargebacks after a big purchase. These resellers can't revoke keys like developers or Steam/Origin can, so they make it a bit more cumbersome. Nonetheless I agree it's too intrusive for my liking.

Don't be. It's not unheard of for grey market resellers to request ID because of the high risk of fraud, and it's not unreasonable for you to not want to conduct business with them for imposing such requirements.

So safer to just shell out $11.99 over at the Origin sale than use Instant Gaming?
