Really wish Home Depot or Lowes would bring orders out to your car like Target.
I bought a bigger bag of this and the soil coming out of the bag isn't like in the product pics, expect lots of small twigs and wood bits.
This is more for amending soil that is really hard and clay like or really sandy. clay like soil doesnt absorb water and drain so itll puddle up on the top in heavy rain or decent watering. Sandy soil drains too fast and dries out faster.

Mixing this in with either will give you a moderate draining soil that's more conducive to growing most plants and etc. by retain moisture longer (if it was sandy) and actually absorbing (if it was clay)

For my Lowe's, I parked my car in the pick up area, told the guy works there that I was buying 25 bags; went to the self check out placed my order and came back picked them up myself. Make sure to wear mask and gloves.

I bought a dollar store bag once and it was 80% manure. Not fun.

confirmed that this is not soil but small wood bits and rotten twigs. If have a home depot nearby then ask them to price match.

Advantage to buying this is each bag is easier to handle. I bought this shortly after the rains and could barely lift it.

The miracle grow is about a $1 cheaper but I have been unimpressed with them over the years. They cut the size of their big bags but cost remained the same. I have an issue with them cheating... 10% of the bag is wood chips, rocks, and cardboard filling.

This is not for potting. What I use is mixing it 50/50 with potting soil and organic garden fertilizers for my vegetables and flowers.
