This is 2018 version and $300 off. Refurb but will appear like new from Apple. Some people can get more off like 10% for military. 2020 version is a very minor upgrade with no u1 chip. I'm still using 2017 12.9 version and have no reason to upgrade. Amazing device I spend more time on than I should.

I would honesty return it. This is a much better form factor and will last you much longer. This is a beast.

Off topic: have you found a keyboard with trackpad solution for the 2017 12.9"? It feels like an abandoned child as far as accessories go — even just regular keyboard options are very limited.
