This brand appears to be well-marketed junk. AvE (YouTube) did a great teardown on this and the video revealed very poor-quality internals. Unfortunately, that video was taken down, probably due to a lawsuit or brand maintenance disguised as copyright infringement. You can find remnants of the video's existence with some searching.

When I was in the market for a battery charger/maintainer, I found that video while it was still up. It convinced me to stay away. I ended up purchasing a unit by CTEK. While the equivalent unit is more expensive than this deal, you may want to consider it if you'll use it almost year-round like me.

Look for prices on the CTEK MUS 4.3.

I got one new from Amazon for $42 less than a year and a half ago and left it maintaining a battery. At some point it just shut off and lit the power LED amber instead of staying in maintenance mode and by the time I noticed, the battery was toast. Now I can't get it to charge anything. It either doesn't start charging at all or it looks like it's starting to charge but then does the same LED thing after a while. The cables look OK and it doesn't seem to have a blown fuse so I guess it malfunctioned in some non-obvious way. I need to try the warranty process but suspect they'll probably make me pay to ship it somewhere, wait for weeks and then claim it was misused and offer to send a refurbished replacement for only $50 (ok, that's just speculation, maybe they'll do better than that but other reviewers haven't exactly been impressed with the warranty support).

Ordered, but quickly cancelled. Looks like lots of complaints lately about the wire falling apart. I like Nico products, but will buy the newer version over this one.

I got this a few month ago for the same price, and I am ordering another one to keep it in my office. I think it would be tough to find a better charger for the price.
