Was interested in these but it looks like they can only be mounted from a horizontally placed box and not vertically from a soffit, as far as I can tell. I believe the Ring ones can be mounted either way. Any know for certain?

Thank you for posting this, I missed it the last time they sold them and would prefer this to the ring cloud.

How is the camera accessed, wifi? Direct power?

I bought two of these from Costco the last time they were this price.

Overall, I'm happy. No recurring subscription fees. The lights are very bright and brightness is adjustable. The 128 GB card gives lots of storage and is easily replaceable.

I don't see why one couldn't mount the camera vertically, but haven't tried it. Both the camera and the lights have a swing adjustment. There are installation instructions on the Costco page, so check them if you want to verify this capability.

One problem is that the hedge in front of the porch sets off the motion sensor when it's windy. I'm thinking of adding some screening material to try to avoid that.

The app could be better. Some functions aren't intuitive and it takes a few more taps to get to the most recent clips than I would like.

They connect only via 2.4 GHz WiFi. Not a problem for me so far. I get over 80% connection strength from both cameras and the image quality is good.

Getting them set up was a bit of a pain because my SSID is the same for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. My solution was to walk to the end of my driveway, 110 feet away, where the only 2.4 GHz signal is strong enough.

Access when away from home has worked fine.

So you have to potentially get on a ladder to access the SD card?

Which app are you using, feit or tuya? I've heard these might work with home assistant with the tuya integration.

Product page says they're wifi. Doesn't look like there's a way to record directly to NAS or something like that, though. Wifi appears to just be for live viewing.

Is it a specific app that you use to monitor?

So, setting up you were having difficulties because it was too close to a mesh system?

The reason I ask, I'm having difficulty setting up a few products attached to mesh.

I looked at the pics and read the manual before ordering and didn't see how they could be mounted on soffit cause u can't rotate the sensor far down enough.

Anyone know if these support RTSP or ONVIF? I'd be interested in integrating these with my existing on-site NVR.

I'm interested in this, too. (Sorry for the false alert)

They don't. I purchased 2 & experimented with one. ONVIF scans of the IP found nothing. Tried a couple common addresses to get HTTP or RTSP with zero luck.
