I own these headphones (purchased new). Great ANC. Great microphone for phone calls and VOIP conference calls. Sony WH1000XM3 noise cancelling is better (and $100 less). Bose calling is better than Sony. Get the Bose if you make lots of calls/conference calls. Get the Sony if you just want the noise cancelling.
The mic is amazing, if u have to do lots of conf call. I was able to do conference call in times square or subway train with those. Totally magic
I bought these recently for WFH and conference calls since they're supposed to be top of the line for calling. I've had a very good experience with them but I do recommend taking a look at the bose community forums before purchasing, as it seems like many people are having problems with multi-device functionality and intermittent crackling on the left side. But I have them connected to my Samsung S9+ and macbook pro and haven't had any issues. The sound quality is stellar, calls are outstanding, ANC I think could be better - does not completely silence keyboard tapping but really good with vacuum cleaner and washing machine. Mute button on the headset also really important for long conference calls.

This looks like a good deal to me if you're cool with refurbished directly from Bose. I bought a refurbished version of the Sony WH1000XM3 for this same price (which competes with the QC35) and these are the newest version of the Bose line (read: Newer than the QC35). If I didn't buy the Sony WH1000XM3 in February I'd consider these instead.

I own multiple pairs of headphones and these Bose 700 are the most comfortable. They fit over the ear (completely around my BIG ears). I do not own the QC35 to compare.

Off topic, but Bose needs to get their act together on earbuds. They are getting badly lapped by the competition. They only have a sketch on their 700s out right now. Sony, Apple, and others have no problem getting earbuds with ANC to market. Bose needs to figure it out--and quickly before their ANC base leaves.

Stay away if you want to use it with Skpye, Teams or any communication tool on Windows. Serious compatibiltiy issue with Windows driver.
