I think as for as best bang for buck deal as for android is probably a lg g8. You can get a grade A condition one for around $250 these days and those run the sd 855. Less than a year old and they were $800 on release day.
While everything you mentioned are facts; here's another you left out... For $299 (new) or 279 (open box) there is no other phone for $300 with a snapdragon 845 or better nor with 8gb RAM as this one has, so for $300 there is no other phone you can buy brand new that can compare to this phone. If the S9+ was $300 new it's the only other phone that can compare and it's better than that but this... Is an absolute no brainer for $300
I've had this phone for about 1 1/2 years. It has been a rock solid performer. I love keeping up with the latest and greatest phones but haven't been able to leave this one behind. It's just a really good phone. There are plenty of phones out there that have just been released that would have the same performance level for twice the cost of this deal. If you are looking for a solid phone on a budget, this is a very good option

Edit: comment looks weird now. Guess they merged my post with this one and just used mine as the top comment.

From previous thread:

The 6T was launched in November of 2018. Oneplus has committed to 2 years of Android upgrades and 3 years of security updates. The 6T was just recently updated to Android 10 and will likely qualify for Android 11 later this year and that should be the last update that it will receive.

Can't we all just be friends and be thankful that there are now good, affordable options in both Android and Apple ecosystems?

Exactly. This SE deal will only mean good things for Android and iPhone customers.

I've had this phone since launch. It's still buttery smooth for 60hz. Very few issues with it after a few years of heavy use. Highly recommend it if you're on a budget.

No wireless charging, no 3.5, no IP rating, quick charge only with Dash, 3700 mah, no slot

+ Band 71, GG6, 845 still a viable chipset, good performance

Deal killers: wireless charging, 3.5, 3700 battery

Deal: okay price, good resale value

Need a new device but won't bite on this deal. Enjoy your new phone

I bought this because at the time it was the only dual (physical) sim with AT&T(personal) and Verizon(work).

This is an awesome feature and it has been a great phone.

What if the phone stops updating Android after a year or so, does it matter much?

Thx for the input, if your intentions for this is to help others, may I suggest next time, spending an extra minute, organizing your thoughts a little better? Like a simple "Pros" and "Cons" list, add your thoughts under the appropriate headline. It's just a clearer way to present your idea and get your message across. Going back and forth, on the good and bad might work for you but not so effective if you choose to share with others. TBH, trying to read what your post, made my head hurt, I couldn't even finish it. Even if this was your own notes, just for you, wouldn't it be more effective, being organized better? Top half of a sheet of paper all your "Pros" bottom half, "Cons," you can cover up the bottom, while going over the good, cover the top up for the bad. I just can't think of one advantage of alternating thoughts like you have it now, unless you're playing devil's advocate with yourself... Is that fun though?

I'm thinking of returning my s20 ultra and just get this. That thing has some major issues.
