The Accu-Cut mounts to almost any circular saw and can rip, cross cut, and make angled cuts up to 50" long in plywood, MDF, and panels.
The Rip-Cut can make rip cuts and crosscuts up to 24" wide. -oceanlake
Agreed - I bought this to help break down 4x8 sheets... I tried to do it once on my table saw and it felt like one of the top 5 dumbest most dangerous things I have ever attempted. Since then I've had HD break them down into manageable pieces for me, but I hate playing hide'n'seek with the employees to get someone to do it, or waiting in a long line of people needing cuts, or getting home and finding out the hard way that the employee didn't know how to use a tape measure.
I watched my neighbor very impressively bust out a whole set of garage cabinets in his driveway using just a Rip-Cut, Circular Saw, Drill, and pockethole jig.
its been fantastic for me. The fence is super sticky and sticks even to really smooth sheet goods like baltic birch.
The guide locks in well, and you know precisely where your cut will be every time.
I use it for both 48 and 96 inch cuts without issue with good precision. Highly recommend it
good even with a table saw. Its hard to rip down sheet good on a table saw without some help

I've read mixed things about the accu-cut and rip-cut products from Kreg. Conceptually, great idea. Practically, i've read that they're hit-or-miss.
To any owners out there - would you recommend this product, or would it be better to wait and put the $80 towards a track saw?
I was worried about it as well, and it seems like it mostly comes down to user error. A track saw would obviously be better, but this stuff will be solid if you only cut wood once every few months.
Check for squareness of these. If square, rip cut guide can be really helpful breaking down the full sheets(accurately) with cordless circular saw in the parking lot of Home Depot. I had bought the rip cut and didn't use it for a couple of years. Realized it was out of square while doing the first cut. I don't even remember where I bought it from or what's the warranty to do anything with it. I got the harbor freight clamping saw guide for making cuts wider than feet.

It's absolute trash. It was a lower end knockoff of the eurekazone system (now out of business).
If the budget is too tight, you'd be much better served by something low end like the WEN system.
The track on the Kreg Rip-Cut will be 24 inches in length and can make cuts from 1" to 24". The Kreg Accu-Cut and make cuts up to 50" in length.

Kreg makes the Accu-Cut XL for up to 100". I thought that was the only option for ripping a full sheet without a table saw.
