It's definitely not as "capable", but I replaced the MBP with a desktop and now I can get away with a smaller portable for lighter stuff. Overall I recommend it.
As a heads up - Apple has an extended return policy for now while their storefronts are closed. You get until 2 weeks after they open their stores back up to return anything you order right now from Apple direct. Best Buy has something along the same lines, but I believe right now they have specified end of May. This store may have something similar although likely less lenient since it is only online (I believe?).
I mention this because it could be a backup to return this laptop should they release the MBP 14 and you prefer to buy that. Myself, I'm skeptical that the base price will be reasonable and also I like physical function buttons. But, you'd still have the option if you feel compelled.
Overall, I definitely recommend this laptop if you're an Apple user and don't need it for professional work.
