As a healthcare worker we dont know if the person were talking to who is sick is just having a bad cold or the Covid. Its super stressful.

Things like this is where we can go home buy stuff we like and be like "yey some perks!"

Thanks for the companies and to people who dont go "OMG why are they getting discounts and not me!"

Id.me shows verification for nurse, alumni, military, first responders, government, student, and teacher. I don't see an option for medical. What am I missing?

edit. I have npi and dea numbers if that helps

Why about Essential workers, with out them we wouldn't even be able to receive any of these deals on this app without them packing and delivering them, medical gets all the attention

What about second responders? I'm an operator at 912 and we never get any credit.

911 dispatcher is a first responder category (refreshing to see since 911 is frequently overlooked in the first responder category), so I'm in for some new Adidas kicks. Thanks OP!

I never overlook the 911 operator. They are most often the life line until boots on the ground get there. Thank you for your service.

I am glad you were able to get a good deal from adidas.

Exactly. I didn't sign up to risk my life. I signed up to treat, not die while treating. Especially the people who think we should go back to business as usual, then get sick and expect to get care in a hospital.
Nobody signs up to die. The reality in your profession you (+ hospital visitors) often get patients sick and not the other way around.
I understand we are in a situation were PPE is still at a minimum because a lot people who don't need the ppe started hoarding them.

Nurses, Doctors, PAs, Medical techs, receptionists, janitorial staff, and all medical workers you are appreciated every day.

Very hard to control the inconsiderate people who don't wash their hands, cover there mouth when coughing, and touch everything in front of them.

Your health is your responsibility. If your employer is not providing the proper PPE please band together and support your own health. If you aren't healthy then you cannot treat your sick patients. We need you to be safe and healthy for us and your own families.
