There was a deal back in January that included stacking of offers, referrals and double dipping. At this time, it is not clear if anything like that is doable.
You need to become a new member. For Sams, this means a new email address. Google is your friend here.
* A gmail email address ignores periods in the username. For example, first.last@g... is the same account as firstlast@g... or f.i.r.s.t.l.a.s.t@g.... Everything goes to firstlast@g...
* Anything added after a plus sign in an gmail email address is ignored but can be used to assign labels. For example myemail+2020@g... and myemail+sams20@g... is the same: myemail@g.... You can use this for mailing lists or promos for example. Then you can create a label (2020 or sams20) and apply filters to it.
If you don't want other email addresses, and your membership expired, you can try to do chat or call and they can take the email address out of the system. Only then you could sign up with the same email address as a new customer.
Finally, legally, an additional member, can sign up as the primary member and would be considered new. So you can flip-flop every year.

I was going in to spend $50-$100 either way. If I didn't get the credit, I was canceling and calling my bank to dispute the $45 fee if necessary. Not necessary. I got the $45 instant credit.
I went through the regular line. Order was about $83. They scanned up everything and I saw no credit until they hit the final key or whatever to take my payment. Then the $45 came off. The lady saw it and said something about it. I just told her I was a new member and I was wondering if it was going to come off or not. She was like, "Oh yeah that's automatic."
Done and done. I know there are some complaints about Sam's Club in this thread. Some on their following through on promotions. Some on the stores. Obviously with this one it worked out. As for their stores, my local store here in New Hampshire is great. Well stocked and I was very pleased with some of the prices, too.
Happy to post a copy of my receipt later.
BTW I entered the store about 72 hours and 30 minutes after I signed up. I checked the original time stamp on the account email. No idea when it was actually posted to my account but I did wait the full 72 hours before going in.

supposedly this deal is good until june 21 I think I would be past 1 year if I waited until a few days before the end date but I don't remember when my account ended... anyone know how I can find out without alerting them to me signing up again?
Thing is I don't even see any mention of that I see new member and nothing else on this deal
also if you sign up online
do you get a membership card online?
or do you need to go to the members desk when you first enter and get one for checkout?

Then when you click on it titles changes 😅 I'm completely mindf*cked
so can you scan your phone at the register or enter the numbers. It says for the rebate you can't use their scan and go option to get the rebate. and you cant use outside pickup.. you have to go to a register to check out.
Have you been in the store yet... I am looking up things and stuff isn't available.. even toilet paper isn't available at the store or any stores near me.
Normally I only buy a couple things at sams club so thats why i let my membership run out.. it was easy enough to shop at other stores and not have to pay a membership fee and often pay less at walmart than at sams.. but there are some things I want to get there so i thought maybe I would give it a try... but not if half the store is empty and there isn't any food or consumables
I didn't look for toilet paper. I have stocked up already.
My store had plenty of bread. They had steak and fish. Not an ounce of fresh chicken but lots of frozen stuff. They had ample bags of flour. Eggs were sold out. Plenty of veggies and fruit.
I thought they had very competitive prices. I'm pretty dialed into on pricing for regular items I buy. I'm in NH so maybe it varies on pricing and in stock items.
