The people who say Ryobi should be avoided are either professionals who use their tools daily, are tool snobs who don't understand that good enough actually can be good enough, or have some weird affection for tools of a certain brand or color.
While some other brands have higher quality options, for most DIYer homeowner type people Ryobi is a great fit with decent quality at affordable prices. They also have a HUGE variety of tools that all take the same battery and they haven't changed battery shapes in decades meaning that they don't make older tools obsolete.
Looks like a pretty good deal for brushless tools, would've been nicer with a bigger battery too for that angle grinder but still good. Might want to add Ryobi to title.
The Ridgid can do cutting. The only reason any grinder says not to use cut-off wheels is because it comes with a standard guard instead of a safer wrap-around guard.

I have been on the fence of what brand of tools I was going to buy. A lot of people say ryobi is a consumer brand and should be avoided. Yet I look at the reviews for these tools and they are almost all excellent. The way I see it diyers and home owners are more than likely the folks who are going to misuse the tools and destroy them. Anyway this deal helped make my decision. Got one! Thanks!!
This is a damn good deal for a Ryobi brushless set. I picked up the circular saw and impact with the battery kit return deal back in December. Paid approximately $55 each then. I believe the only way to get the brushless drill is in a kit. I bought my drill on eBay.

What's nice about the Ryobi brushless grinder, is that it can do both grinding and cutting.
The brushless Ridgid can only do grinding.

Great deal. Thank you for sharing. If it had a jigsaw or recip saw instead of the grinder Id be all on it, so Im excited to see the similar deals to follow.
