Bought this for my nephews and had to return it within a week. The wheels were made from the thinnest plastic I've ever seen on a ride on vehicle, and multiple other pieces on the body were cracking as well. They have multiple Power Wheels that are years old and have neither of those issues.

Always go 12 volt. A lot more power. Also think about an after market battery with lots of amps to keep the action going.

Does anyone know if the bike can ride independently of the side car?

This is pretty badass looking but I doubt it's good quality based on reviews.

That's a shame. This had potential!

Hilarious with these things that you can get non-OEM batteries with 50-100% more Ah (battery life) for much less than the OEM battery. My youngest daughter's dune buggy has a 20Ah battery (more than double the OEM) and it cost $55, $20 or more less than the OEM.

A cousin of mine retrofitted theirs to use Dewalt 20V batteries (really 18V btw) - if you already have the batteries, it's almost a no brainer. Typical 12V battery for these is 9.5Ah; I have (2) 5Ah and various other batteries on the shelf that could be used. They are also much smaller than the SLA batteries these ride-ons typically use, but they are Li-ion and I don't believe the repeated rapid discharge would be good for their longevity. IIRC they also get fairly hot.
