What is the battery life like on one of these, even if you aren't gaming? 2 hours? 30 minutes if you are using the horsepower? Power is nice in a laptop, but so is being able to not be tethered to an outlet.

This would best be considered a mobile desktop. Perfect for a gamer who has to travel frequently.

Exactly. You should not be looking into these kind of niche products if you are considering battery life. These are more of a portable Desktop and to be used plugged in. Another benefit is the CPU upgrdability. You can actually use a R9 3950X 16C/32T Processor on this by enabling the ECO mode which restricts the TDP value.
And apart from gaming, this is like the best Mobile Workstation in terms of performance. You can throw your high end Photo and video editing, Encoding, huge Excel works, Compilation, Encryption and it will probably beat most desktops on those.

Also, AMD has confirmed that their Ryzen 3 will use the same AM4 socket and I read in multiple discussions that these custom Laptop manufacturers are going to support Ryzen 3 on these Laptops.

You can have them include windows 10 for $75, or do the smart thing and buy a key online for $20.

I would love to see a review on this - that CPU is a beast.

Just curious about the license keys. I bought a cheap Photoshop license years ago on ebay, and it turned out to be a pirated license key and worked for all of 2 minutes before I got a warning that my installation was not legit.

Are the $20 Windows license keys legit, and if so, where do you buy them?

TIA!

This Sager has desktop parts. The ones in the Blade are toy pieces.

You'll find a ton of places that sell the keys online if you do a Google search. Just make sure whoever you buy it from has a lot of positive reviews. And what they do is buy an enterprise edition with a bunch of keys, then sell the keys off. I've done it quite a few times and never had any issues doing so. You can download the Windows install files directly from Microsoft and set up a USB thumb drive as an install device. It'll tell you how on Microsoft.

I am using two keys, purchased at $12 and $8 respectively (Win10 pro and Win 10) and they are working fine for last 2 years. I normally purchase for sCDkeys or similar sites instead of eBay and they are normally okay.
