In summary, this phone should support bands 2/4/66 on TMOBILE correct? I understand it wont support low band 600/700 (71/12) but it should support the others without issue no?
I believe it wholly depends on the area you are in and which towers in your area have what bands + which has contracts with which carriers (some carriers don't play nice with each other about sharing towers, which is why 'roaming' is a thing).

It is entirely 'possible' that the phone will work, but it could be either be painfully slow or won't work properly without access to all the bands it needs for your geography. Technically, sure, if your area uses T-Mobile with a strong solo signal of any of those bands (B2, B4, B66), then you could be fine, but can't guarantee it at all. It is entirely a YMMV depending on where you live and how well the phone works on those bands.

What are the requirements for the trade-in Android phone? Does it have to be unlocked? I have a Moto E locked to TextNow, will it be qualified? Thanks!

Nothing changed since 20114 - U.S. intelligence agencies are still warning against buying Huawei and ZTE phones.

Think twice why those phones so cheap - especially right now.

Below is the copy from specs page. Looks like visible variant is the LTE only variant. So no 2G/3G at all. Hope this is not a big problem as TMobile has a good LTE network on band 66.

FREQUENCIES
- Visible -

LTE B13/4/2/5/66

- Unlocked -

GSM Quad, UMTS B1/2/4/5/8 LTE B2/5/4/12/13/66 2CA: B13+B4/2, B5+B4/2, B4+B2, B2+B2, B4+B4
