To date [2/16/20202] , not a single swapped phone has been rejected.
people have sent in windows, android, apple, flip phone.
They have sent in phones with out imei, without battery, with crack screens etc.
keep reading on tips/tricks to protect yourself regardless of which phone u want to send in.
if you are not going to follow the guidelines set forth by Visible,
proceed with caution...and continue at your own risk..

Contacted chat & was told:
1. need to see imei ...that is a MUST..and must be INCOMPATIBLE with visible service
2. on V website it says trade in Android phones only. however, i confirmed thru chat that even my W phone will work as long as the imei passes. so, if u want to do a non android phone that has an imei...confirm this first with chat , so u have record .... so..to summarize...can be Android or windows...as long as #1 is true
3. only need phone with imei visible one way or another. (for me imei was on back of phone and i didnt have charger, battery or even battery back)..so in summary all they want is the phone, no cords, no battery [in fact they say DO NOT SEND damaged battery]...keep in mind they need to verify the imei number so 1. if it is on back of phone , u r set 2. if it is setting then they must figure out how to get there.....u r not obligated to send them battery or charging cord..it is up to them to figure out how to check...
all this is assuming they check which users have questioned to begin with.
but if u have any questions...
get on line..
get to chat..
get it in writing..
save chat...
cover your own arse
notes on deal:
1. phone is unlocked (most/all phones from Visible are unlocked)
2. will accept most any phone that has a imei AND IS INCOMPATIBLE with V service
3. if u do swap, you will not get charged taxes (even if it says u will be charged taxes, included under "Total Due Today",..the "amount due today" will vary depending on where u live (usually between $8-$13.....it is for taxes......this is a glitch..so ignore). You pay $25 upon creating an account (referred to as Total Due at Activation)...thats it ..there will no further charges on activation...only the $25.
many have asked if u are required to activate the sim..
no clear answer..
however...per V website:
"Within 14 days after order completion, customers must return their old Androidâ„¢ device and activate their new phone, otherwise the customer will be charged the full price of the phone they ordered."
but some have activated the sim using another phone that is compatible with V
4. no contract, can cancel after paying for the 1st month
5. you are required to check eligibility of phone using imei number. You cannot enter the meid. You cannot enter the DEC number. You cannot enter the HEX number You cannot enter the MEID - last two digits. You must enter the IMEI. Some phones do NOT have a imei (mostly sprint older devices that are NOT LTE). in that case u need to find another phone. ...what i did was to buy for $5...on ebay...Nokia Lumia ...Seller information..tximran1 (1587 )
if u delete the first 2 number or the last 2 numbers from the meid . the result will be a random number which MAY pass...but it has nothing to do with your IMEI..it is not related... and might end up with your phone swap being rejected.
DATA POINT: I entered MEID of LG OE2 converted to DEC then dropped the last 2 digits into the IMEI checker, then sent in a completely different phone, iPhone 4S, which was accepted.
One: they don't match up the IMEI entered with what you send in.
Two: you don't need a phone with an IMEI. Afaict the only 'unacceptable' phones are those that are compatible with Visible.
6. sending phone back. there is limited creditable information on this, but most likely u will get a prepaid sticker with your mote delivery..just pack the old phone back in the box..slap the sticker and send it back..all within 14 days
Your return label will come in the box with the phone you ordered.
see here for picture of box that will be sent to u
UPS return label is in the box along with a white cardboard w/ plastic sleeve -- you put old phone in plastic sleeve and return it using same shipping box (remove old FedEx label and put on new UPS label)

To whomever is trying to configure the ZTE Blade A7 to work voice/text, use a network app like "Mobile Network Mode" to force it to select different type of network.
1. Go to the app, select "Force Mode"
2. Set Preferred Network Type: either "GSM Auto" or "LTE/UMTS auto"
This should enable you to make voice call or text both incoming & outgoing.
I had success doing this for my CricketWireless. When doing voice call, it switches to 3G mode.
You must setup your regular APN to have 4G LTE enabled.
Note: You *MUST* confirm your email address, or you will not be able to activate service. You can change your account's email address in the Visible app.

NOTE: APN settings are locked on the Visible ZTE Blade A7 Prime out-of-the-box.
An easy way to be able to add, edit, and save the correct APN for your carrier is to insert a spare SIM from another carrier...the one I used was a out-of-service Freedompop AT&T SIM. You can then hand-enter the correct APN info and save it as default. Once you re-insert your current SIM, you should see both the APN you saved and the (formerly absent) options to add/edit the APN.
FWIW, this phone does not appear to work on Xfinity Mobile, even with the updated APN. This may be a surprise to some, since ZTE R2s from the last Visible promo work are plug-and-play with Xfinity.

Several statements on https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/ that activation succeeded up to 59 days after (not sure after what, be safe and make that 59 days after making the order)
ZTE Blade 10 Prime Works on Mint /T-mobile
Guys .. Received ZTE Blade 10 Prime today morning. I've slapped in my Mint Sim and
1. Entered APN settings manually. (https://www.mintmobile.
2. For calls and text, installed Network Mode android app (https://apkpure.com/network-mode/...etworkmode)
3. Choose LTE/UMTS auto. Then tested sending and receiving phone calls and text. Everything is working fine. (works for AT&T postpaid user, confirmed. However, if your setting is stuck with LTE(only) then you should try setting it to "GSM only" intead. Reopen the app, it will show "LTE/UMTS auto" selected)
4. I can confirm that after little tweak .. ZTE Blade 10 Prime is usable on GSM network.
5. This method can be adapted to work with other carriers, like FreeUp and Red Pocket.

Hope this works for other people as well.
Promo seems to specify that it needs to be a working android phone and it would be funny for me to hear about how it goes for you.

Please keep in mind that while the original Visible ZTE R2 worked well with other carriers, the ZTE A7 Prime has a number of issues. There's already some speculation and misinformation on this thread, but I can share from experience that the A7 Prime's lack of bands for other carriers is not the only problem. In fact, the A7 Prime supports the same bands that the R2 does; 2, 4, 5 and 13.
The A7 Prime's firmware is very different from the R2's. I got several R2s from Visible and was able to use them on Xfinity Mobile by just putting in the XFM SIMs. I gambled that I would be able to do the same with the A7 but couldn't.
Depending upon which SIM is inserted into the phone, the APN field is locked, meaning you can't input the settings necessary to get LTE data from any provider but Visible. There are ways around this, most notably through use of a Play Store app like Mobile Network Mode, or by temporarily swapping in an old SIM from another provider. But it isn't plug-and-play, and it may not work for you at all.
I was eventually able to get the A7s working on T-Mobile (with spotty LTE performance, since the A7 lacks every TMOB band but 4), but not on Xfinity Mobile. This isn't a matter of having the right specs. XFM runs on the Verizon network, just like Visible. This is most likely a result of ZTE locking down the firmware at Visible's request, to prevent bargain hunters from scooping them up cheaply and using them on other networks.
If you're getting in on this deal specifically to use the phone with another carrier, you're rolling the dice, to an extent. The A10 may work like the R2, meaning, just pop in the SIM and go. It may have firmware designed to prevent that, like the A7. Or it could have additional restrictions we don't know about yet.
One important question is whether or not the A10s will be "whitelisted" on Verizon, Verizon MVNOs, both, or neither. I've bought phones in the past, unlocked, with support for all the correct frequencies, put in a Verizon SIM, and had them work perfectly. Then a month or two later, you get permanently kicked off the network because the phone's IMEI isn't listed in Verizon's database for use on that particular service. An excellent example of this is buying a Verizon Prepaid phone and trying to use it on their postpaid service. It may work fine for a while, but they will usually "catch up with you".
It's interesting to note that the A10 Prime is marketed as supporting T-Mobile bands 12 and 66 in addition to 2, 4, 5, and 13. But that doesn't necessarily mean it'll work on T-Mobile.
Once my A10 comes in I'll try it and post my results. Good luck, everyone!

I got the swap deal with the moto e6 a few months ago. I asked the customer service rep about this plan before executing.
I got the Moto e6 and immediately sent in my old swap phone. Shortly afterwards I got the confirmation email or tracking saying they had received my swap phone and then a customer service chat person said the device had no issues and the swap completed (indicating I would be charged the $100 for me Moto e6). So that was milestone #1 to avoid paying for the new phone.
Now time for milestone #2... avoid paying for the first month service...According to the customer service rep, I had 45 days to activate sim card with my service under the account information I provided and I would then begin my official first month and first month payment. If I didn't activate in 45 days the account would just automatically cancel and I would never start the service planned nor be billed for my first month.
Since I already got the free phone I never inserted the Visible sim to activate it and was never billed my first month.
In essence I got a free phone after the swap and never had to pay the first monthly service charge of $25.
I am assuming you could try this as well with this deal. I hope this helps.
I'm on Cricket, and the Visible R2 wouldn't work with voice. I think I got texting working, though. I imagine the same limitations for this one, too, but I was just going ot use it as a WiFi device only.
