Don't know about the rest of you but the $100 rebate does not come back to you automatically. You need to apply at https://promo.metrobyt-mobile.com/. I took me some looking around to find this URL. Metro didn't tell me and the retailer I bought my phone at said to watch out for a text message from Metro that never came.

Then they told me that particular SE is OOS after telling me it was in stock over the phone and to come in.
I reported the rep and sales staff to corporate.
Went to 2 other AT&T stores and was able to get the deal according to advertisement.
Just need to know your fine print and not let them walk all over you.
What if you're already an existing Metro customer (over 90 days), Can you still get this deal?
Metro works good in my area, I've had it for a long time.
- Was this for a port-in or opening a new line?
- Could you provide a breakdown of cost? (I guess it is $29 for iPhone 7, $15 activation, $30 plan and taxes)
- Did you face any aggressive upsell tricks that you had to circumvent?
I plan to leave it in a drawer for 6 months as I have done previously.

For example, someone could have two cellphone plans - one with Metro and one with Verizon Wireless (that's over 90 days old). That person is undoubtedly a current Metro customer, and yet she would be able to take advantage of this promotion if she's willing to port over her VZW number. If they had phrased it the way you suggested, she would've been misled.
I personally didn't expect Apple to bring back a device so dated in the looks department. It kinda goes against what Apple normally does in respect to the visual appeal and design philosophy.
All in all, I'm glad they're bringing flagship SoC at a mid-range price point. So kudos for that.
I know it's rocking the A13 chip and all, but in all honesty, I'd rather stick to, say, a Moto G Power because to me, it's a much more rounded phone. It also looks so much better that this rehashed iPhone 8.
It's 2020, we shouldn't even consider phones sporting these major foreheads, chins and bezels this day in time. And please, 4h or 5h screen on time is not acceptable either.
I just don't see any value in this phone. Maybe if you're already into the Apple ecosystem and refuse to spend more, or gifting someone who's clueless on how to use a phone (older folks, etc.), then it would make sense to get one of these new SE phones.
At 100 dollars, heck yes, you can't go wrong. But I'd never consider this phone at the $400 price.
For 4 phones (max), you are looking a little better but not by too much (cost per phone drops by $22.50 assuming the fees are only $5 cumulatively for all four phones).
