Need recommendation for manual tire pressure gauge

3,942 260 April 30, 2020 at 06:54 AM
I've been using a Milton pencil gauge and find it to not be very accurate. I'm wanting a top quality gauge (not battery operated). Looking to spend around $30. Any suggestions?

something like this that holds the pressure and has some protection as well as an easy grip

looks similar to some others but not quite the same much better fakespot rating.

When you say it's not accurate, are you meaning it has inconsistent readings, or are you comparing it to something else?

Yes...it's actually being used in my daughter's vehicle and if I want to set pressure at 34psi sometimes I get readings of 40psi and other times I get 25psi. For my truck I'm using this one and it's always spot on. But it is huge and won't fit in glove compartment of my daughter's car.

I've also got a Jaco similar to the one posted above but with a hose on it. I've had it a little over a year and it has worked well.

I also use a Jaco low-pressure gauge that reads from 0-15psi for my quad tires, some of which run as low as 3psi to 5psi which you can't get a good reading on regular gauges. The accuracy of both seem to be pretty good.

I still use the free one I got from skoal years ago and it works great. Looks like a mini tire.
