Personal mower maintenance question:. If I am too lazy to take the blade off, after mowing wet grass, can I successfully sharpen it for a minute with a file , or would I require a hand held grinder?

Oil never needs changing? That sounds a little concerning.
I am also questioning the cutting heights. I typically mow at 3-1/2" to 3-3/4" but that is the highest it will go. Any lower and you start scalping roots and parts of the lawn.
As for sharpening the blade. You should be doing that every 50 hours. Wet or dry doesn't really matter. You should also be scraping the deck out after every use to prevent it from building up too much and rusting out. You could also drill in a port to attach a water hose. Hook the hose up, turn the water on and engage the blades.

Taking a blade off is easy, it would be more work to try to sharpen in place vs grab a wooden block and socket and take the blade off and sharpen like you are supposed to

I meant on the job, when cutting 1 foot weeds & grass. I typically use a metal filer, but doesn't work as well as taking the $150 mower to get serviced.
I guess I'll check Harbor Freight for a portable lithium grinder or Dremel that I can plug into a 125w inverter.
If you have a very small lawn an electric would be fine.
My parents have a 40V blower and its fine for small, quick jobs. Anything else I go for the Stihl handheld blower or backpack blower. There is no comparison in run time and power.

RWD is only beneficial if you have unlevel terrain. FWD is preferred for level terrain.

What's the warranty on this mower? Can't seem to find it on the product page.
It says Costco...so
I use a dremel with the tool grinder attachment.
