This is not that great of a deal for a base model. The absolute version (with more attachments and the soft roller head) has been this low before, and multiple times at $250 (including straight from dyson.com with the extra 3 free attachments).

All batteries lose max charge over time, but my understanding is that the Dyson vacuums are especially prone to this. For anyone who has owned it for two or more years, any thoughts? Would you buy it again?

Shark sells a portable vac with swappable batteries, which seems like the smarter move to me 🤷🏽 ♂️

I ordered it but you guys were right. This only comes with the crevice tool and combination tool. I cancelled my order and will wait for the absolute to go on sale.

You can buy 3rd party replacement batteries from ebay or amazon for a fraction of the cost about $30 to $40, compared to manufacturer (around $90). If you know how to use a phillips screwdrivers, then you can replace the battery on the dyson

The battery last slightly over 2 years, just enough time for the warranty to run out.

In the end, its convenient enough for me to have bought it and replace the battery every 2 years

Thanks OP and repped.....good enough deal for me on a NEW Dyson since I have a soft roller. Just could not bite on any of the refurb deals.
