Why didn't you get a virtual card? That's what I did. I got it immediately over email. The only hassle is they don't have a website to check transactions and balance. Only on phone.
However I timed mine poorly. I had to reactivate 2 lines after cancellation to be able to port. But port over was flawless happened within a few hours of order being approved.
I got physical cards so I could turn them into a money order and deposit in my checking account. I didnt keep up with all the discussion so I wasnt sure how easy it would be to liquidate a bunch of VGC's.

For the Android phone at first it appeared no problem activating over ATT network, but later now it can't dial out or send message, receiving calls&messages are OK. I am wondering if these issues related with Sprint? I read some phones got locked or blacklisted upon leaving Sprint.
If your Android phone was still locked to Sprint, it would not accept an AT&T SIM, and has no AT&T service at all.

Ah fair enough. In my area no one takes any type of gift card for MO. they mostly ask to see the card and then refuse if they see the words gift or prepaid or doesn't have a real bank name on it. So I didn't bother with trying this time.
It's impossible to liquidate the sprint virtual cards. I used it to pay for my insurance renewal. Paid 6 months so used 2 cards there. In addition also you can to Apple Pay and probably Samsung pay also. So you can use it at groceries and restaurants. I used it with Apple Pay. Will use it to also pay off this AT&T bills now.

I have an unlocked iPhone and Android Samsung that were both on Sprint. When I activated AT&T SIMs with these two phones the iPhone kept showing no service and faling to activate. So I called AT&T, they got iPhone's IMEI and magically it activated with service on. For the Android phone at first it appered no problem activating over ATT network, but later now it can't dial out or send message, receiving calls&messages are OK. I am wondering if these issues related with Sprint? I read some phones got locked or blacklisted upon leaving Sprint.
I took 5 of my phones to sprint and ported over after having cancelled the account and then reactivated 2 lines to port out. My phones are fine. Nothing was blacklisted. 2 android and 3 iPhones.

It's a factory unlocked version samsung phone. I had it on ATT last year and worked perfectly fine. Porting into ATT at this moment is completely done too, so don't know why the outgoing message and voice don't work, sometimes showing "cellular network is unavailable" .

I'm fortunate that the Dillons (Krogers) stores in my city (Topeka KS) readily accept the Sprint and AT&T GCs for purchase of money orders. I bought money orders with 6 $250 AT&T cards, 4 $300 Sprint cards, and 18 $50 Sprint cards. Cash is King Big Grin. My Amex Preferred card gives 5% cb on groceries, and my wife's USBank Cash+ card gives 5% cb on cell phone bills. So I don't want to use the GCs to pay for those expenses. I don't have iPhones and Samsung phones to use Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.

I'm glad I didn't choose the virtual cards. From what I've read, they're a real PITA.

Virtual cards a PITA. But there have been avenues to cash out.
Last 2 year's T-Mobile virtual cards had a free option to do ACH to bank. Previously for other virtual cards I could Venmo and cash out also.
The years before I could take physical card from wirecard to bank and cash out for free.
This year I got a few cards from discount tires that Walmart and Kroger employees refused to use for MO.
I also prefer cash out and use my credit cards.
I'm getting 20x or 10x for grocery on my sears card. I also get VGC MCGC from frys foods (Kroger) / Safeway. I use these to pay my cellphone bills. Unfortunate my stores have become stricter with MOs. Luckily I used part to do my insurance which I can't get any extra cash back on any cards. And some home office furniture. The rest will have to be groceries.

Not sure whether your issue got resolved. If you are getting "cellular network is unavailable", issue with your IMEI and SIM card. Chat with AT&T rep and they will reactivate the SIM. Sometimes, during activation, they ( SIM and IMEI - If you login to your online account, you can see all your activated devices) were not activated correctly which will create problem after activation. AT&T chat will fix these kind of issues ASAP.

Will it be a problem to port over 2 numbers into one account, if the 2 numbers are currently with different companies? I am currently with Sprint (the only line on that account) while my wife is with Verizon right now (and she is one of 4 phones on that account, and we'd only want to port hers). Will it be possible to port both of them in in one order and have them end up on one MobileShare plan, or do both lines need to be coming from the same place? Thanks!
yes, you can port both of them in a single order.. in the checkout process, you will see option to enter port-in information for each line and they can be from different carriers.

My order is stuck under 'pending port approval' since Friday morning. Chat said I need to wait more and if it cancels, I should go to store. What's the status of your order?

Are you port out from Sprint?. I tried one FreedomPop number and I got the same msg. Called AT&T and they confirmed me that number is being locked by FP and they yet release. Second time I ported in eBay number.

Order Processing moves at a slower pace during weekends if human intervention is needed. Give it until Monday evening or so.
