I ordered 2 sim cards online and try to activate them after received the sim cards, but it says there is no eligible numbers under my account. The port in status shows confirmed, but the number is still active on the previous provider. I called AT&T several times and them transfer me from one department to another and no one can help activate my lines. Any one had the same issue before?

"Port-in Status: Confirmed" means that the porting was approved, but the cut over doesn't take place until you've received and activated the AT&T SIMs. It's done that way so you won't be without phone service while the SIMs are in transit.
Sounds like there's a glitch with your port-in. Keep calling AT&T Port Dept at 888.898.7685.

I have called the port activation department several times and they transferred me to other departments. Don't know what they are doing.

Nightmare. ATT put two lines into two separate plans. 3gb share plan no longer exists. Closed the account...to much drama for little reward. All reps powerless to make the change and asked me to switch to new 4gb share plan. Beware

You should get most of it refunded later.

I ported out 2 days before the service period ended. Finally bill shows a credit of $5.88.

Not looking good for me, chat rep and phone rep confirmed that even though port process was completed at the start of the billing cycle, I wont be getting any prorated even though only one day was used and will be billed one full month regardless. Saw that you received prorated on port-out but seems YMMV

I don't really trust the reps. You'll have to pay for the full month that they already billed, but wait until about this time next month when the next bill comes out and see if it shows a credit.

I have no choice but to painfully pay and then hopefully get the credit, will def be on the lookout around this time next month. Bill generates every 23rd so on the 24th ill check lol

Hi hpham_53,

Sorry to bother you again. I don't feel confident without getting your advice. My GC status shows mailed 09/29. I think I will receive them in a few days. Meanwhile, my bill is also due on 10/1, billing cycle is from 08/25 to 09/24. I paid $173.79 for the first bill already, the second bill is due tomorrow for $95.4 ( two 3gb shared lines)
My question: should I port the lines today to avoid being billed tomorrow? or should I wait for the gc in hand, then port out? If I pay this bill, then port out immediately, I should get ptorated bill according to your experience? Thanks once again.
