there are so freaking many of these now...how do you know which one is best? i have no pets, but fuzz from socks, or smally piece of food (rind from an orange, crust from bread or whatever), but i do go from tile to wood onto an area rug...anyone have experience on which one is better?
I have to say I like these older ones the best. It has everything you need, works and the dust bin is larger than the new ones. It is a bit more of a pain to clean but I got the new $1000 and went back to this one.
Just got one, first Roomba and I did a little research. This one was presented as "best bang for the buck" so never having had one, figured this was worth a shot. First Lowe's didn't carry them for whatever reason but checked the link that someone posted and found another one in town. Tried it and seemed to work well. Only got stuck once under a bar stool that I moved to the carpet to "get it out of the way" 😂. I'm happy so far and it will work great in our basement. I'm now probably looking at the i7 for our up stairs though now that I'm hooked on the technology.
Confirmed at my Lowe's in Houston. Running a Memorial weekend sale on the usual items. Snagged the 675 version. The 9 series is $100 off as well for those interested. Surprised none of the sale prices are showing on the website.
I live in a really small condo and with the furniture, there's really not a lot of open space/walking space. How well would this work in my environment? I want one but would it just go around randomly every time it hits a furniture leg thinking it's a wall?
Anyone know\guess when the next markdown will be. There are about 20 in stock at 3 different stores near me. I like those odds to snag one at the next markdown

To answer my own question, I got one of these and it doesn't do very well in small spaces, just as I predicted. If you live in something the size of a small studio where open space is limited due to furniture, it just doesn't do well. Or if you keep things underneath a bed, for example, it will just bump into things and turn aimlessly and keep vacuuming the same spot over and over. Other times it gets stuck and I have to free it from whatever it's stuck in. Regardless, having to pick it up, reposition it, tend to it, etc defeats the whole purpose. Even in the open areas I do have, it doesn't seem to cover the everything based on the carpet marks. I think the virtual walls are a must for this type of layout. I'm going to give a few more tries but will probably end up returning it. A cordless Dyson is probably more suitable for me.
