How's this one compared to the N40 in terms of sound quality? On paper, they are very similar except impedance.
There has been so many discussions on this, MephistoMyHero. Just search for N30 or N40. I remember there was sale on both (79.99 and 99.99 respectively) and a lot of great comparison points.
It was withing last 4 to 6 weeks at most.
Good luck

Thanks PhantomRex but I wasn't able to find anyone that actually have both. I suspect they sound similar until you get an headphone amp and the N40 starts to give more "punch" but I won't know until someone has both. I do have the N40 and the LS300i and they sound different from each other. The N40 has good sound across the board but they LS300i's highs are "subdued" but it does make it sound less piercing from music like EDM, Dance and Trance and the Bass/Midbass is quite pleasing and pronounce. I I was thinking of getting these as average carry IEM.
Ever since Samsung took over at Harman, the quality has tanked. AKG used to be good, but I wouldn't take the risk. Buyer beware on their stuff going forward. There are some excellent Chi-Fi alternatives for less. Blon, Tin and KZ are some of the more well known brands.

Samsung took over Harman around sametime N25, N30, & N40 were launched. Considering the time it takes for R&D and production, I doubt Samsung's take over had any impact on the quality of these N series. It would take several months to few years before a new company or lead authorities have effect on finished product due to nature of product development.
Thanks OP, haven't bought any iems in a while and this is a good price point to jump back in. Wish there was more info available on these, they seem to be a hybrid iem both dynamic and BA drivers. I agree KZ makes some great sounding hybrids for the price but they never are comfortable for me, I have small ears. Here's hoping these fit well and sound great. They certainly look great.
Actually recent AKG/Samsung/Harman products following a engineered sound curve they call it the "Harman Target". The direct result are the AKG K361/K371 series. Of course, since they are new, not entering slickdeal stature so you won't know them yet.
