Been eyeing this TV since CES. The lowest price so far has been on Amazon for $489. Glad Walmart has it now for even lower price of $460.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hisens.../575342709

This is the 2020 edition of the Hisense H8 Series
  • Quantum Dot (Or QLED in Samsung language)
  • ULED
  • Local Dimming
  • Dolby Vision
  • Android TV
Probably the lowest price until Labor day as most other retailers are pricing it at $600

Still rocking my Panasonic plasma, wish it would die but also have a weird loyalty to it as if I would be cheating on it if I bought a new TV. I think I have issues.
Woah! Someone come to my house and smash my TV so I can buy this.
The 65" is also available for $707.78...a good ~$100 cheaper than Amazon and Bestbuy's current offering!

Quantum dot displays are amazing but I recommend getting Roku operating system instead TCL makes a great quantum dot TV for a great price

Agree with Roku but this is TV is going to be so good though. TCL needs to release their 2020 TVs already!

This is going to sound crazy, but would this TV work as a gaming monitor? It reads that it's 240hz refresh rate, and we know the image quality is top notch. It also has DVI and HDMI ports. What drawbacks are there to using this as a monitor?

It's probably not real 240hz but interpolated. Unless it supports HDMI 2.1 it definitely only goes up to 4k60. It may potentially support 1080p @ 120hz but that's a gamble unless someone else who owns it can confirm.

+1 Repped and bought.

I ordered the Amazon one that hasn't even shipped yet for $489 a few weeks ago. Used a bunch of old gift cards too for this one. At $455+$6 fee that is a great price, lower than MSRP of $499.99 for the 55 inch variant.

Shame pickup isn't available, am a bit worried about a cancellation because they may have made a mistake since it just came out and its selling for below MSRP.

i'd check https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h8f
when they have review for this new TV...

to use as a monitor, you'll need chroma 4:4:4 which last years version of this same tv has.. for using for office work, word , excel etc

however, it is still 60hz panel so if you play game on it using120hz it'll drop every other frame. also note response time.

I'd wait until Rting has a review out for this TV.
