The Cycle of Arawn: The Complete Trilogy
by Edward W. Robertson

Quote :
Dante Galand is young. Penniless. Alone. But devoted to learning the dark magic of his world.

His quest will take him from the city gutters to a foreign land of sorcerers. To a war for independence. And finally, to another war—this time, for his people's very survival.

A USA Today bestselling series, THE CYCLE OF ARAWN is a complete trilogy of 1600 pages—over half a million words of strife, civil war, friendships made and broken, and one man's obsession to become the greatest sorcerer since the days of the gods.
I've really enjoyed other books by this author, and this is a good deal for three full books. Great way to use up those shipping credits before they expire! Applause

those digital shipping credits is what probably keeps these starting authors going... I've bought (and never gotten to read) a lot of these $1 series
There is also a sequal series to this called the cycle of galand which expands on the same characters and world. If you like the first cycle it will make you happy to know there is more.

It's a pretty good series, I've read up to the most recent book (there are a lot of books in the overall series). The audiobooks are also a fantastic bargain at 65 hours for a single credit. It's narrated by Tim Gerard Reynolds, who's one of the better ones doing fantasy books.

The plot definitely meanders and occasionally the Dante/Blays banter feels pretty forced, but overall I'd say it's worth reading for fans of the genre. The main characters are not particularly "good" people, but they aren't evil either. They will murder their way through situations without too much effort trying to resolve other ways.

I wonder why the $1 Arawn FP'd while the free Breakers did not?? Both are good series, though I found Arawn/Galand a little more enjoyable. But it didn't stop me from getting through both entire series. Smilie Robertson books are always fun, light reading.

Thanks for postin' both!

Great series. I enjoyed how the characters act. The cycle of galand is not as good.

Great series. The repertoire between Blays and Dante is awesome. The author also does a good job of making Dante powerful but not too OP so there's some risk and uncertainty involved.
