Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

Is anyone else having issues with the Fios site? The mix and match page just spins for me and never loads anything. Also had to go a roundabout way to sign in, the main page wasn't loading the sign in script.

Yep. Has happened to me since they introduced Mix and Match.
I just chatted, and they were able to do 200/200 @ 39.99 via chat.

Yeah I just did the same thing. They sent me an email with the order and it worked. No hassle at all

Online chat two weeks ago.

I was on the 100mbps plan and my rates got bumped up. I called in; phone CSR was useless and couldn't offer me anything.

Tried chat instead and chat rep was able to get me gigabit for $47.99/mo.... rate expires in 2 years though.

I never had the auto-pay discount. Anyone know if I put in auto-pay it would automatically give me discount or do I have to ask for it?

I don't think it's for life.

It's

$137.99 for gigabit
- $80 discounts (expire in 2 years)
- $10 autopay.

---------------------
$47.99

I'm just going to downgrade to 200 and save the $7.99/mo. I don't even use all the speed from gigabit

I think what he's saying, in 2 years you might be able to get that price for life.

We're sorry, but your current service or service area is not eligible to mix and match plans at this time. Please go to My Plan for other options.
I keep getting this when I try to switch to 200/200. Any idea why?

Thanks!

That's not a deal you can receive anywhere. Thats +800 mpbs for only $7.99 which is IMPRESSIVE.

You are able to swap owner's of the account with a phone call (Moving to new location as a roommate). Can you please give me your account ? You can always sign up for the 39.99 right on the website again too.

Edit*: Customer Service Rep says if you give me your account number she can replicate this deal for me!

what router should i get?
That decision is specific to the needs of the user. What speed level are you getting, what is the layout of your place... where will the router be placed, any other devices in the area to cause interference, etc....
