To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. Hmmm its been four hours and my speed staying at 100ish. My account does show 200 for speed though. Wonder what'sup.

Just jumped on this and it worked. My account says 200/200 and the speedtest on my router's app read 300/340. Fast.com and Speedtest.net both are reading at 100/100

EDIT: I realize now that my 8 port switch off my mesh router is a 100mbs switch. The one off my powerline network is also a slow 100mbs unit. Time to upgrade.

It is possible to run your own wire, if you're that good. I did because it was an easy run. It's not any special wire. All you need is a cat5e or better cable.

Finding a local Craigslist guy might be cheaper as well to run the wire.

try using a different browser.... and using different speed test engines.... google speed test only shows 100s for me and ookla or Comcast speediest shows different.

Sure, see attached. I didn't need any changes. They also told me I couldn't use my old MI424WR-GEN3I router, but it's running fine.
