Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

I bought a used verizon quantum router on eBay for ~$60. Renting is always the worse deal.
No doubt. But I don't like the Quantum router. I was wondering what people would suggest as far as a replacement MOCA enabled wireless router that I can purchase.

I had Disney + when I signed up for 100M tier late last year and got Disney plus for free. Fast forward to several days ago I upgraded to 200. Last night Disney said my subscription ended. Talked to Verizon, they confirmed that during the upgrade, they removed Disney +, and refused to add it back. Did anyone have the same situation? Thanks.

NO, NOT ALL.

I am on an expired grandfathered Triple Play plan. Which includes HBO and Cinemax.
My previously purchased router is already connected to the ONT via ethernet cable, I am currently on 100/100 Internet speed.

I can't upgrade just the Internet speed.

This Mix and Match BS requires me to change my TV plan at the same time. Therefore losing HBO and Cinemax and having to pay separately for them.

I also have to pay an equipment charge to upgrade my STBs.

This "upgrade" will severely increase my monthly bill.

As usual Verizon screws over existing customers.
Thanks for nothing VZ.

Anybody else in the same situation?
Yes this is why I've also stayed on my old triple play plan forever because every damn time I try to change the plan it always costs more and I get less

Amen Bro.

I know other people in my neighborhood who also haven't change plans in years.

Verizon has no consideration for loyal customers.

Yes it does. They can increase price whenever they want. Do you currently have the connections discount? Is that how you have the price $34.99? If so, you can still do that with the 200/200.
Military discount.

If I'm able to still add the connections discount, you can probably get the military discount applied as well.

I've made change from 100/100 to 200/200 at 6pm today. Checked speed after half hour, no change. Then received email said my plan had changed, $10 autopay discount was removed and I chatted with a rep to confirm if I get discount or not. He said he had to add it back. I've also asked if I have Disney+ or not. He said I have it. Not sure if what he said is true or not but when I checked my plan, I don't see it as an option.

Oh well, if i lose disney+ but gain higher speed, fine by me, as long as they don't screw me by change the price next month.

Why you need MOCA enabled router for just the internet? I plug it into Google WiFi router

I had the same problem. Lost about 6 month worth of disney plus. The CS said that that was a different plan and there is nothing he can do.

If you don't have TV, then even better is connecting directly to a regular router ( mesh is better as usually connection is to basement )

the 39.99 price of the 200/200 is forever (unlike 100/100 which would increase by 15 after 1 year). Not sure about the Disney Plus, but the 200/200 offer does include Disney Plus, and I contacted them and they said they will email me on how to redeem a year of Disney Plus (I didn't have the Disney Plus offer previously) so I highly doubt upgrading would downgrade your Disney Plus membership.
Did you end up getting your Disney plus cancelled because of this offer?

Did you lose it when the next billing period started?

Has there been anyone who has been able to keep their Disney plus beyond the current billing period? Thanks.

Can I have it connect directly to unmanaged router switch and then use the connection into Wireless router -

https://www.newegg.com/d-link-go-...6833127508

I have this switch in my cable utility box and it connects to my wireless router in living room. Currently it is used to connect from my wireless router and distribute to other ports in my house.

I will appreciate anybody who has used this setup and can confirm if it will work. Will like to move on from Comcast considering the price point.
