Glad to hear that you are living in a state with Apple store operating.
Free calls and texts with text now?! $1 sim? Guess it's time I took it for a test drive

Is this being sold so cheaply because of the merger? Also, aren't Sprint SIMs super finicky to find the right one for your specific phone?

From the comments a year or so ago...

"This contains four SIM types: 506TQ, 416TQ, 506C, and 516TQ. Sprint's SIMs are not universal. Google your device name and Sprint SIM. Make sure you choose the correct SIM for your phone. 516TQ works for my Pixel3 on Tello. I believe most newer phones uses 516TQ."

Most mvnos sell them for $10, Amazon has them for $2.99 normally, so this is 67% off.

This kit worked for my moto g4 plus, and moto g6 (different cards, so one kit was enough for two phones).

There is a limit of two per customer or address that they will deliver to.

I have certainly found this to be the case.

YMMV, but over the last 3 years, unless I bought a Sprint-branded handset (e.g. the Sprint variant of the LG G8 ThinQ) or bought Sprint service at the same time I bought an unbranded handset (e.g. a Best Buy deal for the Essential PH-1 or Pixel 3a) I invariably had to go to a Sprint retail outlet with my SIM to get a free replacement that worked. In no case could Sprint support CSRs get my phone fully provisioned via chat.

It ain't free.

Yes, different Sprint phones may use different SIM cards.
Here is a comprehensive chart on phone models and the corresponding Sprint SIM cards:
