TUF's screen for one is considerably worse. 30ms compared to 10-15ms response times. 60% srgb vs 95% srgb. 120hz vs 144hz.
The 8750H is a considerably more powerful than the 3550h and will actually close the gap between the 1060 and 2060 in some games.
There's also the keyboard. The OP's keyboard, while loud, actually feels great to use. The TUF's keyboard is pretty bad.
But yea $800 just seems like an "acceptable" price for a refurb unit. $700 would be a good deal.

This intel's 8750H has a benchmark of 10300 while the Asus' Ryzen 5 3550H gets 8105 according to cpubenchmark.net. If the Intel 8750H gets maxed out before the 1060, I guess it makes sense that the cap is extremely limiting on the ASUS's Ryzen 3550H.
