Depends on the graphics card definitely if you try and run games or things at 4k it will give your laptop a run for it's money but normal office programs it might be totally fine.

It really depends on the GPU in the laptop, but mine has an Intel UHD 620 and it struggles with one 4K monitor.

I think you'll be fine with the 4K monitor. Don't expect to game with Intel graphics, but it will work fine for 2D business graphics.
You can always run the monitor at lower resolution if you notice your computer struggling. No reason to downgrade to a cheaper monitor
