You can always run the monitor at lower resolution if you notice your computer struggling. No reason to downgrade to a cheaper monitor

Ordered two for my home office, replacing my 2x 24" 1080p monitors. Does anyone know if 2x 4k monitors will have performance issues running off a work laptop?

Yes because the resolution it needs to push is a bit on the higher side. Normally even a basic dedicated GPU can do the job but may be a bit high for integrated graphics like UHD 620.

Depends on the graphics card definitely if you try and run games or things at 4k it will give your laptop a run for it's money but normal office programs it might be totally fine.

So I should cancel and wait for a 2k monitor to go on sale? I saw some on here for $200-$220 1440p 75hz 27"

It really depends on the GPU in the laptop, but mine has an Intel UHD 620 and it struggles with one 4K monitor.

What laptop do you have and what is the spec? Also, does your Laptop have two ports capable of outputting 4K@60 Hz?

I'm driving two 4K monitors witha Lenovo T470. If I do 4K resolution on one, I can't do it on the other. So instead I do 2560x1440 on both monitors. The smoothing in Windows 10 is excellent so it looks fine. If I did 3840x2160, I'd have to scale the font up and it looks the same as 2560x1440.

I think you'll be fine with the 4K monitor. Don't expect to game with Intel graphics, but it will work fine for 2D business graphics.

It looks like a good monitor and it's a great price. I just wish it cost $30 more and came with a better stand...if you're using the thing for work (which many of us are) being able to adjust the height in addition to the tilt, as well as having a swivel feature, just makes life so much easier. But it seems like an excellent deal if you don't care about those things.
