The Kobalt 24-Volt Max Leaf Blower and String Trimmer Combo Kit helps keep your yard neat and tidy. The String Trimmer's 12 inch cutting swath and dual line feed increase cutting efficiency, while its bump head makes it easy to advance line for continuous use. The Leaf Blower's turbine fan produces 410 CFM to quickly corral fallen and debris so you don't have to rake, and its removable tube makes storage convenient. Offer valid through July 7th or while supplies last. ~ persian_mafia

I snagged mine at this price maybe a month and a half ago. This is a really nice set and both motors are brushless, so longevity should theoretically be great. I live on a property that, according to Scott's, is right around 15,000 sq ft. I have a Kobalt 24v Max drill as well, plus two 2.0 Amp Hour batteries from that. I haven't had to use the 2.0 batteries at all since starting.

For full disclosure, I use a Husqvarna edger to do the outside perimeter for that straight edge look. For the weed eating, though, this unit does a great job. I've been able to weed eat around my entire yard (lots of flower beds with edging) and been able to use just the 4.0 battery and still have enough juice to use the blower to clear off the concrete pathways and driveway.

I have a gas powered Hitachi blower, and I can tell you that this blower doesn't push nearly as many CFM as the Hitachi. That said, I prefer this one simply due to the simplicity of snapping a battery in and getting things blown off. I've seen someone in a forum before suggest you can get a diverter for the end of the blower that will focus the power and makes it more impactful. I haven't felt a need for that yet. Blows dry leaves just fine, as well as grass clippings from the street/driveway.

TL;DR - this is a great deal on a very useful set of lawn tools. If you have a particularly large yard, you might buy a second battery, but I haven't felt a need for it thus far, and while my yard isn't huge, it's not small, either, as it's a corner lot.

Who's that moron that's downvoting all the posts/queries regarding coupons? If you're so bummed up on coupons, why are you on a deals page to begin with?

Hey thanks for coupon suggestion since the autogenerated codes are no more. Are these $20off$100 for in-store or online or both? Appreciate it.

Pretty good deal. I wish I could get a good sale without the trimmer. Live in desert and have lost of debris in our yard, but no real need for a trimmer.

If anyone has a $20 off 100 coupon and would like to share by PM, I would definitely rep you.
These days I don't think they can simply be generated, I think they need to be generated and checked. That is why many of us have to go to ebay for them.

FYI the blower weighs 4.4 lbs and the trimmer 5 lbs (assuming without battery)

Got this set last time, great tools, but the battery life is a bit short. Getting rid of extension cords is a game changer for sure.

One thing about this and all weed whackers...the frickin replacement spools are a rip off. I finally bought trimmer line refill but haven't figured out how to wind it yet. My son's money making capabilities are on hold until I get the spool refilled!

Regular price is $169, not $199.

The problem with this particular trimmer is the head cannot be replaced, so you can't swap for a head with easier string replacement (bump heads suck) or with blades. I'm still waiting for a deal on one of the few Kobalt trimmers that come with a replaceable head.

Damn, im deep in the Kobalt 24v system but as I finished my yearly major weed wacker job with my gas echo machine that was going to break, some seafoam seemed to magically fix it, now I dont feel as inclined to replace it. I also have a Hitachi 2 stroke blower and its rock solid, works like new. I saw this deal has hit $99 before, but $129 is tempting just to have.
