Certified Refurbished. $25 cheaper than the best 'new' price I have seen. Also available on Ebay from the same seller for $7 more, if you'd feel more comfortable purchasing there.

Good deal. For modem like this, I never pay more than $100 as modems depreciate their values very quickly.

These won't. Buy this and you're good for a decade. Doesn't matter if it is $100 or $120. Amortize that over a decade and it is irrelevant. New from Costco at $119 is a better deal due to the return policy.

CM600 is good for about 400Mbps.If you don't need think you'll need more than that in the near future, you can keep it.

I bought this one without doing my research and ended up returning because it only had one Ethernet port in the back. Worth considering if that's something that matters to you.
It's a modem, not a router. You can only get one address out of a modem.

Keep in mind it's not always cheaper to buy your own modem, for instance with beloved Comcast especially if you're a heavy data user.

If one rents the XB6/XB7(WiFi 6) gateway it has a rental fee of $15(with xFi Advantage) + $10 with
the unlimited data option. Or if one buys this and your own router instead one would pay $50 per month for unlimited data, plus the cost of modem+router.

Shady yes, but it's Comcast they're the only devil in my neighborhood with gigabit internet.

Except for when your cable company keeps frying your modems because they have to run at such high power levels to overcome the noise in the system 😡 Still worth it to buy instead of rent, but it's extremely frustrating.

Ya, this isn't really true. Or it's not a real issue.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't like shooting someone down and saying its not possible and find out its possible later, so I tried figuring out what the goal was. At first I thought maybe they are mixing up a combo modem/router. Then I thought other than a router what device is assigning IP addresses. I couldn't come up with an answer other than maybe they are referring to a combo device.

It shouldn't have several, unless it's a modem/router mix, which I don't recommend.

This is a great deal IF you need a docsis 3.1 modem, or if you have a modem with the puma 6 or puma 7 chipset. My cable company loans you a modem for free, but it was puma based I found while tracking a jitter problem.

I normally wouldn't buy refurbished things, but these are so new even if they weren't fully done throughout, it's probably ok. These have barely been out a year.

I'd be suspicious about anything Netgear makes especially refurb. After 3 months you have to pay to get support from them and won't replace hardware without a support ticket. It will never be worth the time and money to get a replacement.
