Very nice deal!

I felt stupid putting a WD Black SSD in for non-gaming/heavy editing purposes in my 2-in-1, its very overkill (blue is still ultra fast) but at this price, I think people would be foolish to skip on it. WD in general has a very good reputation for HDDs and SSDs alike. Their Black is meant for hardcore computing (gaming/4k+ editing) but regular users can absolutely benefit from it.
Since January I have had a 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4.0 and a 2TB Silicon Power P34A80 in my x570 system. Honestly, I can't notice a real world difference between PCIe 3.0 vs 4.0.
Wrong. "Literally".

https://www.anandtech.com/show/13...hp-ex950/3
* One Storage Bench shows the SN750 far outpaces the SX8200
https://www.anandtech.com/show/13...hp-ex950/4
* The other Storage Bench shows the SX8200 far better
https://www.anandtech.com/show/13...hp-ex950/5
* And this one shows latencies on par when drive empty, and SX8200 horrific with the drive full

I think this strongly backs up what I said. It depends on what benchmarks you look at, even from the same review, and it depends on your use cases too.
"Literally." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

FYI - for those debating 512GB vs 1TB, even though they are the same line - Black NVMe 2280 M.2, the 1TB is faster than the 512GB.

I don't understand why the heatsink version adds $40-$50 to the price.

Was ready to pull the trigger, but see few top reviews on Amazon talking about freeze/error/fails.
What would be Samsung equivalent to this drive?

I tend to have a good luck with Samsung drives.. found 970 EVO, but have a feeling it's not in the same league.

Use for HP Elitebook 840 G6 laptop
