Most of the "break off" control bars are pretty sturdy. But of course you shouldn't use it as a means to get off your throne. Or are you speaking from experience? From my experience I haven't had an issue with my "break off" control bar. Peace

Yeah, you really don't want one with the 'break off' control bar.
Get the one with a true remote that you can hold or put on the wall.
IMHOFWIW

Can you elaborate on this? I have a simple, mechanical, bidet and was thinking about upgrading to this. A separate remote seems like a luxury feature to me, but I'd like to hear feedback from those who have used them.

OK, just went with WOODBRIDGE 02 https://smile.amazon.com/WOODBRID...h&sr=1-237 looks like it was only released yesterday.

The previous version WOODBRIDGE 01 https://www.amazon.com/WOODBRIDGE...L5Y2J?th=1 released a year ago looks like price is now $50 less than the 02.

Found this for $70 at home depot about 2 months ago and bought for our bathroom remodel. I love it. Warm water, very adjustable position, can change water temp. The blower is not strong enough to actually dry. I definitely recommend this model.

I have both the models with the connected bar and the separate remote. They're both good. I actually really like the attached bar though as I don't have to worry about my kids walking off with it. I've never worried about it breaking in the 4 years we've owned it - you only ever touch it to turn the features on. It's too low to really use for leverage in any way.

Traveling to Asia a lot I have used a lot of the fancy ones for years. I have a simple mechanical one at home and actually prefer it. I don't need a warm seat, warm water, a blower that takes forever to dry. It was a novelty at first so kind of cool but in the long run its the mechanical one for me.

If I lived in a cold climate though and needed to sit on the pot for 10 mins I could see why some people like a heated seat and warm water though.

This model seems ok with power usage but if you end up buying one with higher power (mostly the tankless ones that provide you unlimited warm water), you might want to reconsider from cost standpoint. Likely you will need a dedicated circuit. If you use hair dryer and bidet, it will trip the circuit otherwise. Installing a dedicated circuit can cost you up to a $1000 depending on your house layout.

Get the bb-2000 if you want the flagship model. One of the best spray pressure on the market.
