Shopblt.com has pre-orders for the new AMD Ryzen 3 3300x available for $122.46 ($120.46+ $2 handling fee). I have purchased from them in the past have had nothing but great experiences with them. For pre-orders, they will not charge you until the product has reached their warehouse where your payment is then processed and shipped. You have until the day the product reaches their warehouse to cancel, but you will not be able to cancel within 24 hours of the original purchase time. This company's policy is that if pricing changes for any reason, they will suspend the transaction and hold the product for two days for you to decide if you want to keep the product at that price. if you do not respond, they will simply cancel the order. In my purchases here, I have not encountered a price change.
For those looking to lock in the $122.46 price, and avoid the risk of the 3300x selling out on May 21 (also price gouging as this is a really hot item), I would preorder it from Shopblt.com. This has an ETA of June 9 to reach their warehouse, so I'm assuming it will come in time for the B550 motherboard releases on June 16. ETAs are not guaranteed, but if it doesn't arrive before you've found it elsewhere, it couldn't hurt to have it pre-ordered. I have recently purchased an out of stock power supply from them, and actually arrived way sooner than the projected arrival date. Check out their site for return policies. I hope this helps people in the same situation I am in for getting my hands on this processor during this crazy time.

Ok cool.. Just looked it up.. Gaming its on par with ryzen 5 3600, anything else 3600 has a very decent lead so 3300x is like a budget gaming cpu

Lol not shillin' at all. Just trying to be as informative as possible and help folks out. If you can find another site with an available preorder, let me know.
i7-7700K at 4.8 Ghz ~ 5.0 Ghz is a bit better than overclocked 3300x.
These two i7 CPUs used to be $300 ish a few years ago.
There is no need to buy used 4 cores 8 threads CPU from ebay any more.
Now AMD is offering a $120 CPU for the same performance.
If you dont have the $$, then once AMD brings back the $85 1600AF, it is still the best option.
The only problem is that right now, 1600AF is sold out and 3rd prarty dealers are jacking up the price to $150 ish.
This reduced the value of 1600AF.
So, Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300x come to save the day.
Ryzen 5 3600 is a great CPU but the price difference between $170 and $120 is $50 which is enough for a cheap B350/B450/X370/X470 motherboard.
Now AMD has a price point for everything.

$85 1600AF 6C 12T (same as ryzen 5 2600)
