These Sony SSCSE Dolby Atmos speakers have been in the $149-199 range since the start of the pandemic, but just dropped to $98 with free shipping on Amazon. It's a great price for well-reviewed brand name speakers for those wanting to upgrade their home theater system during the pandemic without forking out $400+ for higher end brands. I believe this is the same price it was around Black Friday.

Good price. I have these, but don't expect to be ducking from the amazing overhead Atmos effects though, the effects are subtle at best.
Bought this during TG19 for $98 a pair. Would rate 3.5 out of 5 after using it for last 6months.

I have some larger Pioneer models and I'm thinking about picking these up for the smaller footprint.

Wonder how these would sound if you put them on the ceiling instead....

I have 7.5 ft ceilings in my theater and these sound great. Probably because of the low ceiling it reflects at the right angle.

If you want overhead, put the speakers as front and rear height mounted high on the wall. Could even use ceiling mounts to do top middle placement. Either way don't bounce the sound, and mount them high. Only takes a screw or two and no cutting of ceiling. These come with a wall mount per the description.

Odd. All the reviews are lumped into reviews for their subwoofer and other speakers due to the speakers being listed as a style instead of a separate item.

Will these work along side a Sony Soundbar/Subwoofer combo?

Couldn't agree more. I had these placed on my bookshelf speakers, and they produced extremely subtle Atmos effect. I hung them and the effect is much more prominent. Only took 2 screws (anchors if you can't find studs).
