I have this in black and have been using it for I believe a year now. I use this for my chemex and v60 pour overs. Pretty good. Cork hasn't shown any wear and I've been using it almost daily. I'm using a higher watt base from Hamilton and heats up water a bit faster, other wise it's a bit slow IMO. Cable's pretty short too. Lastly, capacity is pretty small and is only good for 2 cups of coffee with conservative rinsing of the filter and brewing method. I like that it's a no frills goose neck style kettle, at a good price and looks so nice.

Now that they know that most people are stuck at home, they raised the price 😲

I was going to post that you are much better off buying the Bonavita variable temp kettle since it's only $15 more and is far more useful, but it seems to now be $94 dollar??? When the hell did that happen? It was around $45 for over a year.

I had a Bonavita stovetop kettle broke on me (the spout fell off from normal use). Could be isolated but decided to spend a little more for a Japanese-made Hario Bruno. I've not looked back since. This was 6+ years ago. I personally swear by Hario, and still prefer stovetop over electric, just less things to break.
Got this in black for $30 regular price at Walmart for making french press coffee in my hotel during the pandemic. It works perfectly fine for what it is. I usually start the heating and then measure out the coffee and set up the rest of the things I need and by the time I'm done, the kettle lever clicks back up and it's ready to go. It's not perfect but it sure isn't a waste of $30.

Personally, I'd rather have an insulated tank rather than the corny cork-like stuff.
If 20% coupon works BBB is around $48 https://www.bedbathandb
