TCL 10L also at $250.
Good deal ?
Looking for some input.
I understand most people have no real life experience with device but, spec wise seem pretty solid

Most sites are saying it looks pretty but performance/battery varies between below average and just average

Considering after using the Galaxy A70 for the past 6 months, which also has the SD675 CPU, I'd say to spend that $450 on a used Galaxy S10, the processor is decent and better than most mid range devices, but no match for the big name phones even last year releases.

I know it's a dead horse, but if you don't think you're giving away all your data to a foreign government with this phone you're nuts.

Right. They were previously known as Samsung in the US.

So they were manufacturing phone for Samsung? This comment is hard to understand.

Ok, so I dunno what the heck that guy was talking about, but this is a good summary.

Quote :
TCL is primarily known as a company that builds cheap TVs, but it has also been building smartphones for awhile now. After Blackberry quit the smartphone market in 2016, TCL licensed the brand and started pumping out QWERTY-equipped Android phones. It licenses the Alcatel brand from Nokia and builds cheaper slab phones. It bought the Palm trademark from HP and produced the microscopic "Palm Palm" smartphone. Starting now, though, TCL is actually going to put its own name on the smartphones it makes, and the first is this set of three devices that all cost under $500.

Capable processor, but its still only slightly faster than a 835 in some benchmarks (nearly 4 years old). For 450 dollars, this thing should have a 855 imho.

I agree, but they've obviously put their eggs in a different basket. I just quick researched these and I think, for the price, a lot of this is making sense.

You've got 3 phones in the line up, 2 phone available now, but apparently one is comine to a carrier at some near future point.

10 Pro
-SD 675
-Curved Amoled

10 L
-SD 665
-Non-curved LCD

10 5G
-SD 765G
-Non-curved LCD

So you're looking at probably the extra cost savings to keep that price at 450 by bringing that processor down and putting in a more expensive screen and in screen fingerprint sensor.

I would honestly shy towards getting the 10L for most people I know, or waiting for pricing on the 5G, because that's the device I'd personally be interested in.

Not really much of a deal - very close to MSRP. These will be discounted heavily soon or they won't launch at all.

Unlike all the other phones made in China?
